Turning an Established Website Into a High-Performing Search and Lead Channel
Expertise
Industry
Following an SEO takeover in mid-2025, Tech Home expanded its search visibility across Ontario, increased qualified organic traffic, and began generating direct local inquiries — all without changing the underlying website build.

The Challenge
With a strong website foundation already in place, the next challenge was scale and activation — extending Tech Home’s digital presence beyond a static showcase into a competitive, discoverable acquisition channel.
Specifically, the SEO phase needed to address the following objectives:
1. Expanding Search Visibility Across Ontario Regions
The website needed to be surfaced consistently for high-intent searches across multiple cottage and custom home markets, reflecting the full geographic scope of Tech Home’s services.
2. Competing for Higher-Value Search Demand
Beyond brand-driven discovery, the site needed to actively compete for non-branded, intent-driven queries used by prospective clients researching builders early in their decision process.
3. Translating Visibility Into Meaningful Engagement
As visibility increased, it was important that visitors arriving from search engaged with the content, explored services, and returned as they evaluated project options.
4. Strengthening Local Discovery and Direct Inquiries
Local search visibility needed to support real-world action — particularly direct calls from users actively seeking a custom builder in their area.
5. Achieving All of This Without Altering the Existing Site Build
The SEO strategy had to work within the existing website architecture, extending performance without redesign, redevelopment, or disruption to the original project.

Outcome
The SEO engagement focused on activating and extending the existing website foundation, using targeted optimization to improve discoverability, engagement, and local demand — without altering the original site build. The work centered on five core areas:
1. Search-Led Content Activation
Existing pages were expanded and refined to better align with how prospective clients search for custom cottage and home builders. Content was structured to support both informational and decision-stage queries, allowing the site to compete more effectively for non-branded demand.
2. Regional Visibility Expansion
The website was extended to support visibility across key Ontario cottage and home-building regions. Region-specific pages and internal pathways were introduced to reflect Tech Home’s full service coverage and strengthen geographic relevance in search.
3. On-Page Refinement and Internal Linking
Page hierarchy, headings, and internal linking were optimized to improve clarity for both users and search engines, supporting stronger relevance signals and more intuitive navigation.
4. Local Search Activation.
Google Business Profile optimization was aligned with the website’s regional structure, strengthening local discovery and encouraging direct actions from high-intent searchers.
5. Performance Monitoring and Iteration
Search performance, engagement behavior, and local signals were continuously monitored, allowing refinements to be made based on real search data and user interaction trends.
